Aldi sells uncured Bavarian bratwursts that are imported from Germany under the private-label Deutsche Küche. The bratwurst is sold most of the year at Aldi, but it is especially popular during Aldi German week and around Oktoberfest.

What is a Bavarian Bratwurst?
Bavarian bratwurst is a traditional German sausage from Bavaria. The bratwurst is made with pork or beef and seasoned with herbs and spices such as marjoram, mace, white pepper, ginger, and nutmeg. The sausage mixture is then stuffed into casings.
Bavarian bratwurst is often grilled or pan-fried and is served in a variety of ways. Germany has various types of bratwurst that each have its own unique flavors and preparation methods.
Other German bratwurst, sausages, and meat that Aldi has sold include: Nuremberg bratwurst, braunschweiger (liverwurst), and smoked knackwurst.
How to Eat Bavarian Bratwurst
- On a plate: Place the cooked bratwurst on a plate and serve it with sauerkraut, mustard, and maybe some grilled onions or peppers on the side.
- In a bread roll (brötchen): Place the cooked bratwurst in a sliced brötchen (bread roll) and top it with mustard, sauerkraut, or other condiments.
What to Serve with Bavarian Bratwurst

Reviews
Aldi Bavarian bratwurst reviews are very positive.
We tasted these head to head with Trader Joe’s Bavarian brats, which are bigger and fatter than Aldi’s Bavarian brats, but Aldi’s taste a lot better.
- Sporked
I bought the package of 4 uncured Bavarian bratwurst at Aldi’s. They were kinda pale and unexciting looking in the shrink wrap but when I pan fried them in a bit of olive oil they browned up nicely. Each brat was still juicy and tender with a delicate flavor I was very impressed with.
