What are German style pickles?

German style pickles are gherkin cucumbers ("gurkes") seasoned with vinegar, sugar, dill, and other spices. Gherkin pickles are baby cucumbers. German pickles typically have a sweeter taste compared to regular dill pickles. While both may contain dill and other spices, German pickles often incorporate ingredients like sugar.

Gewürzgurken is another name for German style pickles. Gewürzgurken means "spiced pickles" in German.

Reviews

The German pickles are slightly more sweet and less sour compared to regular dill pickles. The jar also contains pieces of red bell pepper, mustard seeds, onion and dill.

The German pickles are a unique flavor and I enjoyed them. Kind of a mix of sweet and dill.

Yum, I can't live without the German style pickles.

One thing I do to save a couple buck is buy two of their regular dill pickles and put them in the German juices after finishing the first jar--I find the flavor strong enough to replace twice.
